The Nursery children were very lucky to have been involved in a fabulous Playdough workshop delivered by the Creation Station! The children were encouraged to imagine lots of weird and wonderful animals and use lots of language to share their ideas. They then went on to mix different coloured playdough to create new and exciting colours! They used these new colours to create some spectacular animals, adding googly eyes and feathers to enhance their fantastic beasts. There was lots of fun had by everyone.

Wow!! What fun we had with all of our grown ups in Nursery! We explored lots of activities based around our 5 senses. The children loved sharing their learning with everyone and took great pride in showing their grown ups all of the wonderful things they have been learning this half term. We explored Halloween pumpkins, strawberry and lemon scented playdough, icy blue water, smell pots and our very special light box. We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we did!! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
The children in Nursery were very lucky to have been given the full set of Goodness Gang characters from Co-op, Studley. The kind people of Studley have been collecting the vouchers for us and we are the proud owners of each member of the Goodness Gang including…. Marvin Mushroom, Chloe Carrot and Adriana Apple. The children have enjoyed playing with them and drawing some beautiful pictures. We will have lots of fun learning about how to be healthy!!
Following the children’s interests in all things magical, we have been having lots of fun learning about magic this week! We have looked at the story ‘Room on the Broom’ and we have been practicing our rhyming skills to think of our own magic words. The children have loved concocting their own potions and attempting to write them down. We have lots of weird and wonderful things added to our potions such as unicorns, slugs, snails and glitter!! The children continued their experience by making the potions for themselves in the nursery garden….. no children have been turned into frogs […]
As part of our Growing topic in Nursery we have been watching our tiny caterpillars as they grew and grew…they recently wrapped themselves in their cocoons and we were delighted when they finally hatched as butterflies. This week we have released them in our garden…we were sad to see them go but happy that they would be off and flying free! We are also busy watching our bean seeds as they grow…we planted them a couple of weeks ago and they are now getting really tall! We have placed them by the window so they can get plenty of sunlight […]
