Year 3 have been busy reading the story of The Minpins this half term. So far, we have read extracts from the text and identified character thoughts, feelings and emotions. We have looked for clues in the text to tell us how a character is feeling and we have made predictions about what we think will happen next. In our English lessons, we have been learning about persuasive writing and have written several persuasive pieces. During democracy week, we enjoyed debating whether or not the Gruncher is a bad character. In other areas of the curriculum, we have learnt to sketch like Quentin Blake and have used water colours to create an alternative front cover for The Minpins book. We are learning about what plants need to survive in Science, all about prayer in RE and how to become expert computer programmers in ICT. It has been a very busy half term so far!
