Some of the Year four children had an amazing time on Monday when they visited the Houses of Parliament. They arrived at 1.30pm and enjoyed a lovely picnic in the park, before entering Parliament’s security. All children and adults were searched and bags were checked as if they were going through an airport. The tour of parliament was fascinating and they even got to sit in the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Once the tour had finished, children split into groups and took part in a workshop. They were placed in different political parties, then created a manifesto and voted for the most popular ideas. It was a fantastic experience and a great time was had by all.
